简介
NKG2DL2 Protein activates KLRK1/NKG2D receptor, promoting natural killer cell cytotoxicity. Importantly, it does not bind beta2-microglobulin, confirmed by research findings. NKG2DL2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived NKG2DL2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NKG2DL2, or Natural Killer Group 2 Member D Ligand 2, is a crucial protein involved in the immune response, particularly in the recognition and elimination of stressed or infected cells by natural killer (NK) cells. The study of NKG2DL2 has gained significant attention due to its role in modulating immune surveillance and potential implications for cancer immunotherapy. Research has shown that NKG2DL2 interacts with its receptor on NK cells, activating cytotoxic responses and cytokine production, thereby enhancing the immune response against tumors. However, many tumors exploit mechanisms to downregulate NKG2DL2 expression, leading to immune evasion. Understanding the molecular mechanisms governing NKG2DL2 expression and function can provide valuable insights for therapeutic strategies aimed at reactivating immune responses against tumors. Additionally, the development of NKG2DL2 recombinant proteins for use in therapies or as biomarkers is an emerging area of interest, potentially leading to novel approaches in cancer treatment. Overall, investigating NKG2DL2 not only enhances our understanding of immune regulation but also holds promise for advancing cancer immunotherapy.
