简介
NECAP2 protein plays a pivotal role in endocytosis, interacting with adapter protein complexes AP-1 and AP-2, specifically with AP1G1 and AP2A1. Additionally, it connects with GAE domain proteins GGA1, GGA2, and GGA3, participating in a network of interactions that orchestrate endocytic events. NECAP2 emerges as a key regulator in cellular processes associated with membrane trafficking and vesicular transport. NECAP2 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived NECAP2 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His, C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NECAP2 (N-Ethylmaleimide-Sensitive Factor Attachment Protein 2) is a member of the clathrin-AP180 adaptor protein family and plays a crucial role in endocytosis and intracellular trafficking. Research into NECAP2 has gained momentum due to its significant involvement in synaptic vesicle recycling, influencing neurotransmitter release in neuronal cells. Abnormalities in NECAP2 expression have been linked to various neurological disorders, making it a target of interest in the fields of neurobiology and pharmacology. Recent studies have focused on the functional characterization of NECAP2 as a recombinant protein, allowing researchers to elucidate its structural properties and interaction dynamics with other cellular components. By engineering NECAP2 in heterologous expression systems, scientists aim to analyze its role in vesicular transport mechanisms more comprehensively, shedding light on its potential involvement in disease processes. Furthermore, the generation of purified NECAP2 recombinant proteins facilitates the development of specific inhibitors or modulators that could lead to therapeutic advancements for conditions associated with deficient endocytosis. This research holds promise not only for understanding the fundamental biology of NECAP2 but also for exploring its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in neurodegenerative diseases.
