Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALDH18A1, an important enzyme in the polyamine biosynthetic pathway, plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism and homeostasis by catalyzing the conversion of L-ornithine to L-proline. Mutations in the ALDH18A1 gene have been associated with rare genetic disorders, specifically syndromes characterized by growth retardation, developmental delays, and neurological issues. The study of ALDH18A1 recombinant protein is essential not only for understanding the enzyme's structure-function relationship but also for exploring its potential as a therapeutic target. Researchers have aimed to elucidate the enzyme's kinetic properties and regulatory mechanisms, which could shed light on its role in cellular functions and stress responses. Furthermore, recombinant ALDH18A1 protein serves as a valuable tool for developing diagnostic assays and investigating the effects of polyamine dysregulation in various pathophysiological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. By producing and characterizing this recombinant protein, scientists seek to advance our understanding of the underlying biochemical pathways and contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
