Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Liver X Receptors (LXRs) are a group of nuclear receptors that play a critical role in the regulation of lipid metabolism, inflammation, and cholesterol homeostasis. They exist in two isoforms, LXRα and LXRβ, which are activated by oxysterols and other lipid metabolites. Research into recombinant LXR proteins has gained momentum due to their potential therapeutic implications in metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative conditions. The recombinant expression of LXRs in various systems allows for the investigation of their structure-function relationships, downstream signaling pathways, and interaction with various ligands. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of LXR activation and its role in gene regulation is crucial for developing novel drug candidates aimed at treating dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis. Moreover, the reconstitution of these receptors offers insights into their post-translational modifications and their impact on receptor activity. As LXRs also influence inflammation and immune responses, research on recombinant LXR proteins is relevant not only for metabolic diseases but also for understanding their involvement in autoimmune disorders. Overall, the study of LXR recombinant proteins is essential for elucidating the biological roles of these receptors and for harnessing their potential in pharmacological applications.
