Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GLUD2 (glutamate dehydrogenase 2) is an important enzyme primarily involved in the metabolism of glutamate, a crucial neurotransmitter in the brain. Unlike its isoform GLUD1, which is ubiquitously expressed, GLUD2 is predominantly found in the brain and is associated with various neurological processes. Research on GLUD2 has gained significance due to its potential role in neurodegenerative diseases, psychiatric disorders, and metabolic regulation in the brain. The recombinant expression of GLUD2 allows for in-depth study of its enzymatic properties, regulation mechanisms, and interaction with other cellular pathways. Understanding the structure-function relationship of GLUD2 can provide insights into its physiological roles and potential pathological implications. Additionally, studying GLUD2 through recombinant protein techniques can facilitate the development of specific inhibitors or activators that may serve as therapeutic agents for conditions linked to dysregulated glutamate levels, such as epilepsy, depression, and Alzheimer’s disease. Overall, the investigation of GLUD2 through recombinant protein approaches is crucial for elucidating its contribution to brain health and disease, offering a pathway for novel therapeutic interventions.
