  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GGA1 (Golgi-localizing, gamma-ear-containing, ARF-binding protein 1) is a member of the GGA protein family, which plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking, specifically in the sorting and transport of proteins from the trans-Golgi network to lysosomes. Research on GGA1 has garnered interest due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including receptor-mediated endocytosis and the maintenance of cellular homeostasis. Abnormalities in GGA1 expression and function have been linked to several diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and certain types of cancer, suggesting its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target. The recombinant GGA1 protein is used to better understand its structural and functional properties, facilitating studies on its interaction with ARF proteins and other intracellular partners. By producing and characterizing GGA1 in a recombinant form, researchers aim to elucidate the mechanisms underlying GGA1’s role in cellular transport pathways, paving the way for novel therapeutic approaches in conditions associated with GGA1 dysfunction. Furthermore, studies involving GGA1 can enhance our overall understanding of the complex network of cellular trafficking, which is pivotal for maintaining cellular function and integrity.
