Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FRAP1, also known as mTOR (mechanistic Target of Rapamycin), is a highly conserved serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in the regulation of cell growth, proliferation, and survival in response to various environmental cues, such as nutrient availability and stress. As a central component of two distinct complexes, mTORC1 and mTORC2, FRAP1 is pivotal in mediating cellular responses through signaling pathways that govern metabolism, autophagy, and immune responses. Aberrant activation of mTOR signaling is implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer, metabolic disorders, and neurodegeneration, making FRAP1 a compelling target for therapeutic intervention. The cloning and expression of recombinant FRAP1 protein have enabled extensive biochemical studies to elucidate its functional mechanisms and interactions with other cellular components. Understanding the structure and activity of FRAP1 is essential for developing mTOR inhibitors as promising drugs for treating various malignancies and metabolic diseases. This research is vital not only for advancing our knowledge of cell signaling pathways but also for translating findings into clinical applications that can improve patient outcomes.
