Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MFN2 (Mitofusin 2) is a key protein that plays a crucial role in mitochondrial dynamics, including fusion and transport, which are essential for maintaining mitochondrial function and cellular homeostasis. Dysfunction of MFN2 is linked to a variety of neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders, and other health conditions. Given its importance, researchers have focused on characterizing MFN2 at both the structural and functional levels. Recombinant MFN2 proteins have been produced to study their biochemical properties, interactions with other mitochondrial proteins, and their role in cellular pathways. These studies utilize techniques such as protein purification and crystallization to elucidate the structure and mechanism of MFN2-mediated mitochondrial fusion. Furthermore, the exploration of MFN2 as a potential therapeutic target has gained momentum, as modulating its function could offer strategies for treating conditions associated with mitochondrial dysfunction. The understanding of MFN2's role and regulation is pivotal, as it could lead to novel insights into mitochondrial biology and potential interventions for diseases characterized by mitochondrial impairment. In summary, the study of recombinant MFN2 proteins is essential for uncovering the underlying mechanisms of mitochondrial dynamics and their implications in health and disease.
