Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FADS3 (Fatty Acid Desaturase 3) is a member of the fatty acid desaturase family, which plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of unsaturated fatty acids, particularly omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These fatty acids are essential for various physiological processes, including cell membrane structure, inflammation regulation, and brain function. FADS3 has garnered interest due to its potential involvement in metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative conditions. Recent studies have indicated that variations in the FADS gene cluster, including FADS3, can influence fatty acid profiles in the human body, leading to differential susceptibilities to diseases. Moreover, FADS3's unique expression patterns in different tissues and during development suggest that it may have distinct functional roles compared to other desaturases. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of FADS3, including its enzymatic activity and regulatory pathways, can provide insights into how fatty acid metabolism impacts health and disease. In light of the rising prevalence of disorders linked to fatty acid imbalances, research on FADS3 recombinant protein has the potential to uncover therapeutic targets and novel interventions aimed at modulating fatty acid composition for improved health outcomes.
