Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MUC6, a member of the mucin family of glycoproteins, plays a crucial role in maintaining the protective mucosal layer of various epithelial tissues, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract. It is primarily expressed in gastric mucosa, and its expression is tightly regulated during physiological and pathological conditions. Research on MUC6 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in various diseases, including gastric cancer, where altered expression patterns may contribute to tumor progression and metastasis. Additionally, MUC6 has been linked to other gastrointestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease and chronic gastritis. Investigating the structure and function of recombinant MUC6 protein provides insights into its biological activities and potential therapeutic applications. The ability to produce recombinant MUC6 allows for detailed studies on its role in cell signaling, immune response, and interaction with pathogens. Understanding MUC6's molecular mechanisms could lead to the development of novel diagnostic tools or targeted therapies aimed at restoring its normal function or inhibiting its aberrant expression in disease contexts. Therefore, research on recombinant MUC6 not only enhances our knowledge of mucin biology but also opens new avenues for clinical interventions in gastrointestinal diseases.
