  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

HPS6, or Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome 6, is a gene implicated in the rare genetic disorder Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome (HPS), which is characterized by albinism, bleeding disorders, and pulmonary fibrosis. The HPS6 gene plays a crucial role in the biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles (LROs), which are essential for various cellular functions, including pigmentation, immune response, and the regulation of melanosome formation in melanocytes. Understanding the molecular mechanisms involving HPS6 and its associated protein can provide insights into the pathophysiology of HPS, as well as other related disorders. Research on the recombinant HPS6 protein focuses on its structure, function, and interactions within cellular pathways. The study of HPS6 offers a potential avenue for therapeutic interventions aimed at alleviating symptoms associated with HPS and enhancing our understanding of organelle biogenesis. By elucidating the function of HPS6 in lysosomal and organelle dynamics, researchers hope to clarify its role in the broader context of cellular health and disease, ultimately advancing knowledge in areas such as genetics, molecular biology, and clinical medicine. This research continues to be integral in developing targeted therapies that could mitigate the impact of HPS and related conditions, emphasizing the importance of thorough investigation into the recombinant HPS6 protein.
