Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VAC14 is a pivotal protein involved in the regulation of lysosomal function and autophagy, playing a crucial role in cellular homeostasis. Research has identified VAC14 as a critical component of the mTOR pathway, linking nutrient sensing to autophagic processes. Mutations in the VAC14 gene have been associated with various neurodegenerative diseases, highlighting its importance in maintaining neuronal health. Recent studies suggest that VAC14 interacts with other proteins in the phosphoinositide signaling pathway, further implicating its role in cellular signaling and membrane trafficking. The recombinant expression of VAC14 provides a valuable tool for investigating its biochemical properties and functional implications in disease models. Understanding the structure and function of VAC14 could unveil new therapeutic targets and strategies for treating disorders related to lysosomal dysfunction and impaired autophagy. Consequently, the study of VAC14 recombinant protein is essential for elucidating its biological roles and potential applications in medical research and therapeutic development.
