Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NUP85 is a critical component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC), which plays a vital role in regulating nucleocytoplasmic transport—a key process in cellular homeostasis, gene expression, and response to various stimuli. The nuclear pore complex is a large multiprotein structure that spans the nuclear envelope, allowing the selective transport of molecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm. NUP85 interacts with other nucleoporins and is implicated in maintaining the structural integrity of the NPC. Recent studies have suggested that NUP85 may also play a role in cellular signaling pathways and gene regulation, highlighting its potential impact on various cellular processes. Given its essential functions, exploring the recombinant expression and characterization of NUP85 can provide valuable insights into its biochemical properties, interactions, and role within the NPC. Recombinant protein studies enable researchers to analyze NUP85's functionality, structural characteristics, and interactions with other nucleoporins or cargo molecules. Understanding these dynamics could reveal the mechanisms underlying NPC-associated diseases, such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, and may open new avenues for therapeutic intervention. Overall, NUP85 research represents a convergence of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics, making it a significant focus for ongoing studies aimed at unraveling the complexities of nucleocytoplasmic transport and its implications in health and disease.
