Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UPF1 (Up-frameshift 1) is a crucial protein involved in the nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) pathway, a surveillance mechanism that ensures the fidelity of gene expression by degrading mRNA molecules containing premature stop codons. The significance of UPF1 lies in its role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing the production of truncated, potentially harmful proteins. Mutations or dysregulation of UPF1 have been implicated in various human diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, highlighting its importance in both basic research and clinical studies. The recombinant production of UPF1 allows for detailed investigations into its biochemical properties, interactions, and functional roles within the NMD pathway, aiding in the understanding of its mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications. By studying UPF1, researchers hope to uncover new insights into mRNA processing and regulation, which could lead to novel strategies for treating diseases associated with defective gene expression.
