  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TKTL1 (transketolase-like 1) is a member of the transketolase enzyme family, playing a crucial role in the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP), which is vital for cellular metabolism and biosynthesis. This enzyme primarily catalyzes the conversion of sugar phosphates, thus facilitating the generation of ribose-5-phosphate, an essential precursor for nucleotide synthesis. Research has increasingly highlighted the potential of TKTL1 in tumor biology, as elevated expression levels have been associated with various cancer types, suggesting its involvement in metabolic reprogramming of cancer cells to support rapid proliferation and survival. Additionally, TKTL1 may contribute to oxidative stress response, modulating cellular redox states crucial for tumor progression. Recent studies have explored the implications of TKTL1 as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target. Understanding the mechanisms by which TKTL1 influences metabolic pathways and its interactions within the tumor microenvironment could provide insights into novel strategies for cancer treatment. As researchers continue to investigate TKTL1's biochemical properties, signaling pathways, and clinical relevance, the development of TKTL1 recombinant proteins is becoming increasingly important for studying its function, elucidating its role in cancer metabolism, and potentially leveraging its activity for therapeutic applications.
