Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ULK4 (Unc-51 Like Autophagy Activating Kinase 4) is a member of the ULK family of kinases that plays a crucial role in the regulation of autophagy, a cellular process responsible for the degradation and recycling of cellular components. The study of ULK4 has gained prominence due to its potential implications in various physiological and pathological contexts, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders. Recent research highlights that ULK4 is involved in the initiation of autophagy by phosphorylating key substrates that modulate the autophagy machinery. Furthermore, alterations in ULK4 expression and activity have been linked to tumor progression and resistance to therapies, making it a significant target for cancer research. Understanding ULK4’s function at a molecular level may reveal novel therapeutic strategies, particularly in diseases characterized by autophagy dysregulation. As a recombinant protein, ULK4 can be produced and purified for further studies, allowing researchers to explore its biochemical properties, interactions, and effects on cellular autophagic processes. The growing interest in ULK4 thus reflects the broader need to decipher the complex network of autophagy regulation, and the role of ULK kinases in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stress.
