Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FGR, or Feline Gammaherpesvirus 1 (FHV-1) Glycoprotein R, is a critical protein involved in the pathogenesis of gammaherpesviruses, which are known to establish lifelong infections and are associated with various malignancies in animals and humans. Research on FGR focuses on understanding its structure, function, and mechanisms of action, particularly its role in viral entry and immune evasion. The significance of FGR research lies in its potential implications for developing antiviral therapies and vaccines. Studies have revealed that FGR interacts with host cell receptors and modulates immune responses, providing insights into how the virus evades detection and destruction by the host's immune system. Additionally, as gammaherpesviruses are linked to diseases such as lymphoma in both animals and humans, understanding FGR could contribute to better therapeutic strategies and improve our overall knowledge of viral oncology. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of FGR for detailed studies, including crystallization and structural analysis, paving the way for drug discovery and the development of targeted interventions against gammaherpesvirus-related diseases.
