Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GLG1, or Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1A Protein, is a crucial enzyme involved in glycogen metabolism, particularly in the synthesis and breaking down of glycogen within the liver. Its dysfunction is linked to glycogen storage diseases, specifically, a rare genetic disorder that leads to hypoglycemia, hepatomegaly, and growth retardation in affected individuals. The study of GLG1 recombinant proteins is significant for several reasons: it helps elucidate the enzyme's structure-function relationship, which is essential for understanding the biochemical pathways it regulates. Moreover, recombinant GLG1 can serve as a valuable tool for developing therapeutic interventions for glycogen storage diseases, as it can aid in enzyme replacement therapy or identify potential small molecules that may enhance its function. Furthermore, studying GLG1 at the molecular level can lead to insights into the broader implications of glycogen metabolism and its role in various metabolic disorders, offering potential pathways for innovative treatments. As such, research focusing on recombinant GLG1 contributes to advancing our understanding of metabolic diseases and may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at managing glycogen storage disorders.
