Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ACTN3, also known as alpha-actinin-3, is a skeletal muscle-specific protein that plays a crucial role in the structural organization of muscle fibers and is implicated in muscle function and performance. The gene encoding this protein, ACTN3, is characterized by a polymorphism that results in either the presence (RR genotype) or absence (XX genotype) of the protein in individuals. This genetic variation has been extensively studied to understand its association with athletic performance, particularly in power and sprint athletes versus endurance athletes. Research has shown that individuals with the RR genotype tend to exhibit enhanced muscle strength and explosive power, likely due to the higher efficiency of fast-twitch muscle fibers, while those with the XX genotype may perform better in endurance-related activities. Furthermore, the functional implications of ACTN3 deficiency have been explored in relation to muscle physiology, recovery, and susceptibility to injury. The ongoing research into ACTN3 not only deepens our understanding of the genetic components of physical performance but also provides insights into potential therapeutic approaches for muscle-related diseases and conditions. The elucidation of the ACTN3 role in muscle dynamics continues to be a significant area of interest in exercise science, genetics, and sports medicine, contributing to the broader field of personalized training and rehabilitation strategies based on genetic profiling.
