Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LRP8, a member of the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) family, plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including lipid metabolism and neuronal development. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, where it appears to influence the clearance of amyloid-beta peptides, a hallmark of such diseases. The recombination and characterization of LRP8 protein have sparked significant interest among researchers aiming to uncover its functional mechanisms and regulatory pathways. Through the development of recombinant LRP8 protein, scientists can study its interactions with ligands and other cellular components, as well as its receptor-mediated endocytosis. This foundational research is not only crucial for understanding LRP8's role in health and disease but may also inform the design of novel therapeutic strategies targeting neurodegeneration and related conditions. Understanding the molecular underpinnings of LRP8's actions may provide insights into its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target, paving the way for advances in precision medicine for neurodegenerative diseases.
