Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EMX2 (Empty Spiracles Homeobox 2) is a crucial transcription factor that plays a significant role in embryonic development, particularly in the formation of the central nervous system and the regulation of regional development in the brain. Abnormal expression of EMX2 has been associated with various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia and epilepsy, making it a valuable target for biomedical research. The study of recombinant EMX2 protein allows researchers to investigate its functional properties and interactions at a molecular level. By expressing EMX2 in a bacterial or eukaryotic system, scientists can obtain large quantities of the protein, facilitating biochemical assays and structural studies. Understanding the mechanisms through which EMX2 regulates gene expression and how it interacts with other proteins is fundamental for elucidating its role in neurodevelopmental processes and its potential implications in disease. Recombinant EMX2 not only aids in basic research but also holds promise for therapeutic applications, as modulating its activity may provide novel strategies for correcting the dysregulation observed in related disorders. Thus, the production and analysis of EMX2 recombinant protein are pivotal in advancing our knowledge of brain development and the underlying molecular pathways involved in neurological conditions.
