Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ECHDC2, or Enoyl-CoA hydratase domain-containing protein 2, has emerged as an intriguing focus of research due to its pivotal role in lipid metabolism and cellular stress response. As a member of the ECHDC family, ECHDC2 is believed to participate in the elongation and desaturation of fatty acids, which are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and membrane integrity. Recent studies indicate that ECHDC2 may also play a critical role in mitochondrial function, impacting energy metabolism and apoptosis pathways. Given its implication in various metabolic diseases and conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders, understanding the function and regulation of ECHDC2 has garnered significant scientific interest. Recombinant ECHDC2 protein provides a valuable tool for elucidating its biological functions, facilitating studies on enzyme kinetics, substrate specificity, and potential interactions with other metabolic pathways. Furthermore, exploring the structural characteristics of ECHDC2 through recombinant methods can lead to insights into its enzymatic mechanisms, potentially revealing novel therapeutic targets for metabolic disorders. As research continues to unfold, the role of ECHDC2 in health and disease could pave the way for innovative strategies in the prevention and treatment of metabolic diseases.
