Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UNC13A is a critical protein involved in synaptic transmission and neurotransmitter release in the central nervous system. It functions as a key mediator in the assembly of the SNARE complex, which facilitates the fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane. Abnormalities in UNC13A have been implicated in various neurological disorders, including epilepsy, schizophrenia, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's disease. Recent studies have demonstrated that UNC13A plays a pivotal role in regulating synaptic plasticity, influencing both short-term and long-term forms of synaptic strength. The recombinant production of UNC13A protein allows researchers to investigate its structural and functional properties in vitro, providing insights into its role in neuronal communication. Using techniques such as crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, scientists aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying UNC13A's action and its interactions with other synaptic proteins. This research is significant not only for understanding fundamental neural processes but also for developing potential therapeutic strategies targeting synaptic dysfunction in various neurological conditions. The ongoing exploration of UNC13A functions and its implications in health and disease continues to be a vibrant area of investigation within the field of neuroscience.
