Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Slit2 is a crucial protein involved in various biological processes, particularly in the development and functioning of the nervous system. As a member of the Slit family of proteins, Slit2 plays a pivotal role in axon guidance, neuronal migration, and the regulation of cellular interactions during embryonic development. Research has shown that Slit2 interacts with specific receptors, notably Robo receptors, to mediate its signaling pathways, influencing cellular activities such as cell adhesion and motility. Its importance is highlighted in studies focusing on conditions like brain development disorders and cancer, where Slit2 expression levels can significantly impact tumor progression and metastasis. The recombinant expression of Slit2 provides a valuable tool for in vitro studies, allowing researchers to dissect its signaling mechanisms and therapeutic potential. By producing Slit2 as a recombinant protein, scientists can investigate its functional properties, elucidate its role in neuronal networks, and explore its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions in neurological diseases and cancer. This research not only enhances our understanding of fundamental biological processes but also opens avenues for the development of novel strategies aimed at manipulating Slit2 signaling for clinical applications.
