Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SESN2, or Sestrin 2, is a highly conserved stress-responsive protein that plays a critical role in cellular stress responses, including oxidative stress and nutrient deprivation. It is part of the Sestrin family, which is known to modulate cellular metabolism, promote longevity, and protect against age-related diseases. Research has shown that SESN2 exerts its protective effects through several mechanisms, including the activation of autophagy, inhibition of the mTOR pathway, and modulation of antioxidant responses. Dysregulation of SESN2 has been implicated in various pathophysiological conditions, such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders. Consequently, SESN2 has garnered significant attention as a potential therapeutic target. Studies involving the recombinant expression and purification of SESN2 have facilitated the exploration of its biochemical properties and functional roles in cellular homeostasis. Investigating SESN2's mechanistic pathways and interactions not only enhances our understanding of its protective functions but also offers insights into potential interventions to manipulate its expression or activity in disease contexts. Given the growing interest in the role of cellular stress responses in health and disease, SESN2 and its recombinant protein form serve as promising candidates for advancing therapeutic strategies aimed at combating stress-induced cellular damage and promoting cellular resilience.
