Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DLGAP4, or DLG-associated protein 4, is a member of the PSD-95/SAP90 family of proteins, which are critical for synaptic signaling and plasticity in the nervous system. This protein plays a pivotal role in the formation and maintenance of synapses, influencing neuronal connectivity and communication. Research has shown that DLGAP4 is involved in various neurological processes, including learning and memory, making it a significant focus for studies related to neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. Aberrations in DLGAP4 expression or function have been linked to conditions such as schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for mental health issues. The recombinant protein form of DLGAP4 is used widely in laboratory settings to elucidate its structure-function relationships and interactions with other synaptic components. Investigating the biochemical properties and signaling pathways of DLGAP4 through recombinant techniques allows researchers to better understand how it contributes to synaptic stability and neurotransmission. Such studies may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting synaptic dysfunction in various neuropsychiatric conditions. Thus, the research on DLGAP4 and its recombinant protein offers valuable insights into fundamental neurobiological processes and potential interventions for the treatment of associated disorders.
