Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DEGS2 (delta(3),delta(2)-enoyl-CoA isomerase 2) is a vital enzyme involved in lipid metabolism, particularly in the biosynthesis of sphingolipids. Research into DEGS2 has gained importance due to its potential implications in various physiological and pathological processes, including cellular signaling, development, and the progression of diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. DEGS2 catalyzes the isomerization of delta(2)-enoyl-CoA intermediates, playing a crucial role in the remodeling of fatty acids and the synthesis of complex lipids that are essential for cell membrane integrity and function. Studies have revealed its significance in maintaining lipid homeostasis and its potential role in metabolic disorders. Moreover, DEGS2 has emerged as a target for therapeutic interventions, as modulating its activity could influence lipid profiles and cellular signaling pathways. Given the complexities of lipid metabolism and its link to various diseases, investigating the structure, function, and regulation of DEGS2 at a molecular level is critical for understanding its role in health and disease. Recent advances in biochemistry and molecular biology have provided tools to explore DEGS2's properties further, enhancing our comprehension of its functionality and paving the way for potential clinical applications. As the research progresses, it is becoming increasingly clear that DEGS2 is not only integral to lipid metabolism but also holds promise for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at metabolic and inflammatory diseases.
