Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NADK (NAD kinase) is a crucial enzyme involved in the regulation of cellular NAD(P)H levels, impacting various metabolic pathways and cellular functions. NADK catalyzes the phosphorylation of NAD+ to NADP+, which is essential for maintaining the balance of reducing equivalents in cells, particularly in processes like fatty acid synthesis, steroidogenesis, and antioxidant defense. Recent studies emphasize its potential role in various diseases, including cancer, metabolic disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions, where altered NADP+ levels can contribute to pathophysiology. Recombinant NADK proteins are increasingly being produced for biochemical studies, allowing researchers to delve deeper into the enzyme's structure-function relationships. These studies often involve the cloning, expression, and purification of NADK to investigate its kinetics, regulation, and interaction with other metabolic enzymes. Understanding these aspects is pivotal for developing therapeutic strategies that target NADK, which may help restore metabolic balance in diseased states. Furthermore, the exploration of NADK's role in redox homeostasis has opened new avenues for research, emphasizing the importance of this enzyme in both basic and applied biological sciences.
