  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

DDEF1, or Drosophila Death Effector Domain-containing protein 1, is a critical component in the study of apoptosis and cellular signaling pathways. Originally identified in Drosophila, DDEF1 is known for its role in regulating programmed cell death and immune responses. Research has indicated that DDEF1 interacts with various proteins involved in apoptotic signaling, thereby influencing cell fate decisions. Its structure features a death effector domain that is integral to its function in mediating apoptotic signals. The importance of DDEF1 extends beyond invertebrates, as homologs have been found in mammals, suggesting conserved mechanisms across species. Investigations into DDEF1 and its pathways are essential for understanding the underlying mechanisms of diseases characterized by dysregulated apoptosis, such as cancer and autoimmune disorders. Recent studies have focused on the potential for DDEF1 as a therapeutic target, as modulating its activity could lead to innovative treatments that restore normal apoptotic processes in diseased cells. Overall, research on DDEF1 not only sheds light on fundamental biological processes but also holds promise for advancing the field of targeted therapies in medicine.
