Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SMEK1 (SMEK1: Suppressor of MEK1) is a protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly those involved in the MAPK/ERK pathway, which regulates various cellular functions such as growth, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of this pathway has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of SMEK1 as a potential tumor suppressor, given its ability to modulate MEK activity and influence downstream signaling cascades. The recombinant production of SMEK1 provides valuable insights into its biochemical properties, interactions with other proteins, and functional roles within the cell. Researchers are focused on characterizing the structure-function relationship of SMEK1, assessing how post-translational modifications affect its activity, and exploring its potential as a therapeutic target. Investigating SMEK1 through recombinant protein techniques can shed light on its mechanistic role in the context of tumor biology and may lead to novel strategies for cancer treatment and prevention.
