Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC5A3, a member of the solute carrier family, encodes a sodium-glucose cotransporter predominantly expressed in human tissues such as the kidney and intestines. This protein plays a critical role in glucose and sodium transport across cell membranes, which is essential for maintaining glucose homeostasis and proper cellular function. Mutations in the SLC5A3 gene have been linked to various metabolic disorders, including intestinal transport defects and renal glucose wasting syndromes. Given its importance in glucose metabolism and potential implications in disease, the production of recombinant SLC5A3 protein has become a focal point of research. By generating this protein in a laboratory setting, scientists can investigate its structure, function, and interactions at a molecular level, providing deeper insights into its physiological roles and the consequences of its dysfunction. Furthermore, SLC5A3 recombinant protein can serve as a valuable tool for drug discovery and the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at treating related metabolic disorders. Understanding SLC5A3’s mechanisms could pave the way for innovations in the management of diabetes, obesity, and other glucose-related conditions, making it a significant target for ongoing biomedical research.
