Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC38A3, a member of the SLC38 family of solute carriers, encodes a sodium-dependent neutral amino acid transporter primarily expressed in the brain and other tissues. This transporter plays a crucial role in the regulation of neurotransmitter synthesis and amino acid homeostasis, influencing various physiological processes, including cellular signaling, nutrient transport, and metabolic pathways. Recent studies have linked SLC38A3 to several neurological disorders, suggesting its involvement in conditions such as autism spectrum disorder and schizophrenia. Research on recombinant SLC38A3 protein has gained traction due to its potential therapeutic implications and the need for a deeper understanding of its structure-function relationship. Characterizing the recombinant protein facilitates the study of its transport kinetics, substrate specificity, and interaction with various inhibitors, which could provide insights into its physiological functions and pathological roles. Furthermore, recombinant SLC38A3 protein serves as a valuable tool for screening drugs and developing targeted therapies aimed at modulating amino acid transport in the central nervous system. As our understanding of SLC38A3 expands, it may pave the way for novel interventions in treating neurological conditions linked to amino acid dysregulation.
