Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC33A1, also known as the "sodium-dependent and chloride-dependent glutamate transporter," plays a crucial role in synaptic transmission and neurotransmitter cycling, particularly in glutamate transport within the central nervous system. Mutations or dysregulation in SLC33A1 have been linked to various neurological disorders, including epilepsy and schizophrenia, highlighting the importance of understanding its function and regulation. Research involving recombinant SLC33A1 protein enables the elucidation of its structural and functional characteristics, allowing scientists to investigate its interaction with different ligands and ions, which can provide insights into its transport mechanisms. Furthermore, studying the recombinant protein can facilitate the identification of potential therapeutic targets and biomarkers for neurological diseases linked to its dysfunction. As advancements in protein engineering and expression systems continue, the comprehensive characterization of SLC33A1 could pave the way for novel strategies in treating disorders associated with glutamate imbalance, ultimately contributing to improved outcomes in neuropsychiatric health.
