  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SLC29A2, a member of the solute carrier family, encodes a nucleoside transporter that plays a crucial role in the cellular uptake of nucleosides and nucleoside-derived drugs, making it significant in various physiological and pathological processes. Its involvement in drug resistance, particularly in cancer and viral infections, has sparked interest in understanding its structural and functional characteristics. The recombinant expression of SLC29A2 protein allows for detailed biochemical studies, enabling researchers to explore the transport mechanisms, substrate specificity, and the impact of genetic variations on transporter functionality. This research is essential for developing targeted therapies that modulate SLC29A2 activity, providing new avenues for treating diseases associated with altered nucleoside transport. Moreover, the study of SLC29A2 has implications in pharmacogenomics, where understanding individual differences in transporter function could lead to personalized medicine approaches for optimizing drug efficacy and minimizing adverse effects. Given the growing relevance of nucleoside analogs in therapeutics, comprehensive research on SLC29A2 not only enhances our understanding of cellular metabolism but also contributes to advancements in drug development and therapeutic strategies.
