Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LIG1, or DNA ligase I, is a critical enzyme involved in DNA replication and repair, playing a vital role in the maintenance of genomic stability. It catalyzes the sealing of nicks in the DNA backbone, facilitating the joining of Okazaki fragments during lagging strand synthesis and repairing single-strand breaks caused by DNA damage. Abnormalities in LIG1 activity are associated with various diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders, making it a significant focus of research. The study of LIG1 recombinant protein has opened avenues for understanding its structure-function relationships, regulatory mechanisms, and interaction with other proteins involved in DNA metabolism. By producing LIG1 in recombinant form, researchers can conduct detailed biochemical assays to explore its enzymatic properties, inhibitors, and potential therapeutic applications. Furthermore, the investigation of LIG1's role in the DNA damage response and its interaction with other ligases and repair pathways is essential for elucidating the complex network of DNA repair mechanisms. Overall, the research on LIG1 recombinant protein contributes to a deeper understanding of cellular processes and has implications for developing targeted therapies for diseases driven by genomic instability.
