Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC22A18, a member of the solute carrier (SLC) family, encodes a protein involved in the transport of various endogenous and exogenous compounds across cell membranes. Research into SLC22A18 has gained significant attention due to its association with multiple biological functions and its potential implications in human health. This gene is particularly notable for its role in glucose transport and its involvement in the pathophysiology of certain diseases, such as diabetes and cancer. The understanding of SLC22A18's functional mechanisms may reveal insights into insulin secretion and cellular metabolism. Additionally, mutations or dysregulation of SLC22A18 expression have been linked to various disorders, underscoring the importance of elucidating its biological role. The recombinant protein of SLC22A18 is essential for detailed studies, allowing researchers to investigate its transport properties, substrate specificity, and the underlying molecular mechanisms. By utilizing techniques such as heterologous expression systems, scientists aim to produce and characterize the recombinant SLC22A18 protein, paving the way for therapeutic advancements and the development of potential drug targets. Understanding the complex interactions and pathways involving SLC22A18 could contribute to novel strategies in managing diseases associated with this transporter.
