Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SHOC2 (Spermatogenic and Ovary-specific C2 domain-containing protein) is a key player in the Ras signaling pathway, which is crucial for various cellular processes, including growth, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of Ras signaling is implicated in multiple cancers, making SHOC2 a significant focus of research in the field of cancer biology. The protein functions as a scaffold that facilitates the interaction of Ras with downstream effectors, such as the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. Recent studies have highlighted SHOC2's role in promoting oncogenic signaling, particularly in the context of KRAS-driven tumors. Its involvement in the negative regulation of RAS activity through phosphatase recruitment has sparked interest in targeting SHOC2 for therapeutic interventions. Researchers are investigating the structural and functional characteristics of SHOC2 through recombinant protein studies, which aim to elucidate its interactions and regulatory mechanisms within the Ras pathway. Understanding SHOC2's function at a molecular level could pave the way for novel cancer treatments, specifically targeting tumors with aberrant Ras signaling, thus emphasizing the importance of SHOC2 research in developing targeted therapies and improving patient outcomes in Ras-related malignancies.
