  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LARP1B (La-related protein 1B) is a member of the La-related protein family, which plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism, including mRNA stability, translation, and the regulation of gene expression. Research on LARP1B has gained momentum due to its significant involvement in various cellular processes and its potential implications in cancer biology and other diseases. Unlike its counterpart LARP1A, LARP1B exhibits distinct structural and functional properties, indicating a specialized role in cellular functions. Studies have highlighted that LARP1B can interact with specific RNA motifs and is involved in the translation of a subset of mRNAs, suggesting a critical function in regulating the expression of genes necessary for cell proliferation and survival. Furthermore, discrepancies in the expression levels of LARP1B have been correlated with the progression of certain cancers, positioning it as a potential biomarker or therapeutic target. Characterization of the recombinant LARP1B protein is essential for understanding its mechanistic roles, interactions, and potential as a target in therapeutic interventions, paving the way for novel strategies in cancer treatment and other disorders linked to RNA metabolism. Thus, ongoing research aims to elucidate the biochemical properties and functional significance of LARP1B in cellular biology, contributing to a broader understanding of RNA regulatory mechanisms and their implications in health and disease.
