Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Dsg1a, or Desmoglein 1a, is a crucial protein in the desmosomal adhesion complex, playing a significant role in maintaining the integrity and stability of epithelial tissues. It is predominantly expressed in the upper layers of the epidermis and is essential for cell-cell adhesion, providing structural support to keratinocyte layers. Research into Dsg1a has intensified due to its association with various skin disorders, including pemphigus foliaceus, an autoimmune condition characterized by the production of antibodies against desmogleins, leading to blistering and epidermal detachment. Additionally, Dsg1a has been implicated in processes such as cellular signaling and differentiation, revealing its multifaceted nature beyond mere structural functions. The study of Dsg1a recombinant proteins has opened avenues for therapeutic interventions and improved understanding of desmosomal biology, potentially paving the way for novel treatments in dermatological and systemic diseases. Exploring Dsg1a’s structural and functional mechanisms through recombinant protein technology enhances our comprehension of desmosome assembly and promotes the development of targeted therapies for related conditions.
