Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COL21A1, or collagen type XXI alpha 1, is a member of the collagen family, primarily recognized for its role in the extracellular matrix (ECM), influencing cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. This protein is predominantly expressed in various tissues, including the skin, heart, and nervous system, and has been implicated in several biological processes and diseases. Research has shown that COL21A1 may play a crucial role in tissue development and repair, particularly in the context of fibrosis and cancer progression. Its dysregulation has been associated with various pathological conditions, making it an attractive target for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant expression of COL21A1 provides valuable opportunities to elucidate its structural and functional properties, which can advance our understanding of ECM dynamics and its implications in health and disease. Through the production of COL21A1 as a recombinant protein, researchers aim to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies that leverage the unique characteristics of this collagen, as well as to explore its potential applications in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. This line of investigation not only opens up new avenues for understanding the role of ECM components in various biological contexts but also holds promise for the development of targeted therapies that can address a range of fibrotic and malignant conditions.
