Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SEPT4, or Septin 4, is a member of the septin family of GTP-binding proteins that play crucial roles in various cellular processes, including cytokinesis, cell division, and the maintenance of cell shape. As one of the complex components of the cytoskeleton, SEPT4 has garnered considerable interest in the context of cancer biology and neurodegenerative diseases. The study of SEPT4 is particularly relevant because aberrations in septin function have been implicated in tumor progression and metastasis, suggesting that SEPT4 may serve as a potential biomarker for certain cancers. Additionally, research has indicated that SEPT4 has a role in neural development and synaptic function, which aligns with its potential involvement in neurodegenerative disorders. The reorganization of septins, including SEPT4, in the context of cellular stress, inflammation, and apoptosis underscores its importance in maintaining cellular integrity. Understanding the structure and function of SEPT4, as well as its interactions with other proteins, can provide insights into its regulatory mechanisms and its contributions to disease pathology. Ongoing research is focused on unraveling the molecular pathways associated with SEPT4, aiming to identify novel therapeutic targets for cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
