  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CGB5, or chorionic gonadotropin beta subunit 5, is a member of the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) family, which plays a critical role in reproduction and pregnancy. Research on CGB5 focuses on its structure and function, especially its involvement in early embryonic development and placentation. hCG, composed of alpha and beta subunits, is essential for maintaining pregnancy by stimulating progesterone production in the ovaries and supporting the corpus luteum. The CGB5 subunit can be expressed during the first trimester of pregnancy, which makes it a key protein for understanding trophoblastic activity and implantation processes. Studies have shown that alterations in the expression of CGB5 may be linked to various reproductive disorders and complications, including miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have allowed for the production of CGB5 in vitro, enabling detailed investigation of its biological properties and interactions with receptors. Additionally, understanding the immunological aspects of CGB5 can provide insight into how the maternal-fetal interface is established and maintained. Researchers are particularly interested in therapeutic applications, where CGB5-derived peptides could potentially be used in diagnostics or as biomarkers for pregnancy-related conditions. Overall, the comprehensive investigation of CGB5 and its role in reproductive health remains a pertinent area of study, promising to enhance our understanding of both normal and pathological pregnancy processes.
