Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CENPO (Centromere Protein O) is a vital component of the centromere, playing a crucial role in chromosome segregation during cell division. Its significance stems from its involvement in the incorporation of the CENP-A histone variant into centromeric chromatin, which is essential for the formation and maintenance of functional centromeres. Research has shown that CENPO is critical for the proper assembly of the kinetochore, a multi-protein complex that mediates the attachment between chromosomes and spindle microtubules. Aberrations in CENPO expression are implicated in various cancers and genetic disorders, making it a focal point for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these diseases. Given its essential functions, recombinant CENPO protein serves as a valuable tool for investigating its structural properties, interactions with other centromere-associated proteins, and its role in mitotic processes. Furthermore, studying recombinant CENPO can illuminate the broader implications of centromere dynamics in genomic stability, paving the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting related pathways in cancer and other pathologies. Enhanced understanding of CENPO could contribute to the identification of biomarkers for disease progression and the development of novel intervention methods. Therefore, ongoing research into the recombinant expression and functional analysis of CENPO is of paramount importance in both basic biology and clinical applications.
