Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
gp130 is a significant transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in the signaling pathways of the interleukin-6 (IL-6) cytokine family, which are important for immune response, inflammation, and hematopoiesis. As a shared receptor component, gp130 forms heterodimers with various cytokine-specific receptors, facilitating the activation of intracellular signaling cascades, notably the JAK-STAT pathway. The dysregulation of gp130 signaling is implicated in numerous pathological conditions, including autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammatory disorders, and certain types of cancers. Therefore, the development of recombinant gp130 protein has garnered attention as it provides a valuable tool for studying its functional mechanisms, interactions with ligands, and its role in disease. Research efforts focus on producing recombinant versions of gp130 for various applications, including drug discovery, therapeutic interventions, and as potential biomarkers. Understanding gp130's structure and function can lead to novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in disease states. This background highlights the importance of gp130 as a target for research in the fields of immunology and oncology, emphasizing the need for continued exploration of its biological significance and therapeutic potential.
