  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CAGE1, or cancer/testis antigen 1, is a member of a family of proteins that are primarily expressed in human germ cells and certain types of cancers, making it a significant focus in cancer research and immunotherapy. This protein exhibits limited expression in normal somatic tissues, suggesting its potential as a target for cancer immunotherapy, as it could elicit an immune response without affecting healthy cells. Studies have shown that CAGE1 is frequently upregulated in various malignancies, including melanoma, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. Its role as a tumor-associated antigen has prompted investigations into its use as a biomarker for cancer detection and monitoring, as well as a candidate for therapeutic vaccines. Furthermore, understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying CAGE1 expression can provide insights into tumor development and progression, potentially leading to innovative treatment strategies. The unique expression pattern of CAGE1 highlights its promise in personalized medicine, particularly for developing targeted therapies that harness the immune system to attack cancer cells while minimizing damage to normal tissues. Given the ongoing research into CAGE1, it is essential to further delineate its biological functions and regulatory pathways, contributing to the broader landscape of cancer immunology and treatment options.
