Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RhlR is a key transcriptional regulator in the quorum sensing (QS) system of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a versatile and opportunistic pathogen notorious for its ability to form biofilms and resist antibiotics. The study of RhlR is significant due to its role in regulating virulence factors, such as the production of rhamnolipids, which are essential for biofilm formation and pathogenicity. RhlR functions by binding to its ligand, the signalling molecule N-butyryl homoserine lactone (C4-HSL), facilitating the transcription of target genes associated with bacterial communication and host interaction. Understanding the structure and function of RhlR can provide insights into its mechanism of action and its potential as a target for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at disrupting QS pathways. The production of recombinant RhlR protein allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical studies, enabling researchers to elucidate its interactions with ligands and other regulatory proteins. This research is crucial in developing innovative approaches to mitigate the virulence of P. aeruginosa, particularly in patients with compromised immune systems or chronic infections, thereby addressing increasing concerns regarding antibiotic resistance and biofilm-related infections.
