Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
C9orf43, a gene located on chromosome 9, has garnered attention in recent years due to its potential link to various neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The reconstitution of C9orf43 protein is critical for understanding its biological functions and its role in disease mechanisms. Research indicates that mutations or aberrant expression of C9orf43 may disrupt cellular processes such as RNA metabolism, protein aggregation, and autophagy, contributing to neuronal degeneration. Furthermore, the protein's interactions with other cellular components and its involvement in stress response pathways suggest that it may play a significant role in maintaining neuronal health. The production and study of recombinant C9orf43 protein facilitate investigations into its structural properties and functional implications, opening pathways for potential therapeutic strategies targeting these neurodegenerative disorders. By elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying C9orf43-related pathologies, researchers aim to develop biomarkers for early diagnosis and novel treatment modalities, ultimately improving the prognosis for affected individuals.
