Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of TktA recombinant protein is rooted in its significance in metabolic pathways, particularly those related to the pentose phosphate pathway, which is essential for cellular processes such as nucleotide synthesis and redox balance. TktA, a transketolase enzyme, plays a crucial role in the interconversion of sugars, facilitating the transformation of six-carbon sugars to five-carbon sugars and vice versa. This enzymatic activity is vital for organisms that rely on this pathway for energy production and biomass synthesis. Research on TktA is particularly relevant in the context of biotechnology and synthetic biology, where its application can enhance metabolic engineering efforts in microorganisms for the production of valuable biochemicals, biofuels, and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, understanding the structure-function relationship of TktA can provide insights into its catalytic mechanisms, allowing for the design of improved enzymes through mutagenesis or directed evolution. As the demand for sustainable production methods increases, TktA and its recombinant forms present promising avenues for research aimed at optimizing metabolic networks and developing novel biotechnological applications. The comprehensive study of TktA also contributes to the broader understanding of metabolic regulation and its impact on cellular physiology, making it a vital subject in microbiology and metabolic engineering.
