Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CNTN5 (Contactin 5) is a member of the contactin family, which are glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored proteins involved in neuronal development and function. Emerging research suggests that CNTN5 plays a significant role in various neurological processes, including axonal growth and synaptic transmission, making it a candidate for studying neurological disorders. Mutations and expression level alterations in CNTN5 have been implicated in conditions such as schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders, highlighting its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target. The interest in CNTN5 is fueled by its modulation of neuronal connectivity and plasticity, which are crucial for cognitive functions. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production and characterization of CNTN5, providing insights into its functional mechanisms and interactions with other proteins. Understanding the structure and function of CNTN5 through recombinant protein studies could pave the way for novel interventions in neurodevelopmental disorders and enhance our overall comprehension of neuronal communication and integrity.
