Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SPT15 (Suppressor of Ty5 15) is a key protein involved in the transcriptional regulation within Saccharomyces cerevisiae, particularly in the context of activator-dependent transcription. Research into SPT15 has gained significance due to its role as a component of the transcription factor TFIID, which is crucial for initiating transcription by RNA polymerase II. Understanding the function and structure of SPT15 can provide insights into the broader mechanisms of gene regulation, as it interacts with various biological pathways that influence cellular responses to environmental changes. Additionally, studies on SPT15 contribute to our comprehension of the complexities of eukaryotic transcription machinery and its evolutionary aspects, laying groundwork for potential biotechnological applications in gene expression modulation. Given its essential role, SPT15 has also been implicated in various cellular processes, including stress responses and developmental regulation. As a result, the recombinant production of SPT15 protein has become a focus for biochemists and molecular biologists seeking to elucidate its biochemical properties and interactions through structural biology techniques, such as X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy. This research is vital for developing targeted therapeutic strategies and improving industrial fermentation processes by manipulating gene expression profiles in yeasts and other eukaryotic systems.
